Austonian Fine Rugs & Carpet Care is a state of the art Area rug and Oriental Rug cleaning facility. Reed has a large automated rug duster to remove the dirt (dry particulate matter) from the rugs. This “dusting” step is the key to getting the rugs clean and removing the abrasives that can cause a rug to wear out before its time. Then the rug is carefully washed to finish the cleaning process. Special care is paid to the fringe to get it clean without using bleach that can harm the foundation. Many Oriental Rug cleaners use bleach which causes the cotton to weaken so Austonian never takes these risky short cuts.
